Since 2014, we have dedicated ourselves entirely to roasting and distributing high-quality coffee—specialty coffee. Since then, we have been constantly searching for the best coffees, which we trade mostly directly with the coffee producers (direct trade). By purchasing high-quality coffee directly, the coffee producers can earn significantly higher incomes than with industrially produced mass-produced goods. The philosophy of ethical trade of excellent coffees is the foundation of our business model and has accompanied Süssmund Kaffee from the very beginning.

We freshly roast our coffee at least twice a week in Vienna and ship it CO2-neutrally via Austrian Post just a few days after production. This ensures our customers always receive first-class, freshly roasted coffee. We strive to make every coffee drinker happy with our product range. We achieve this by selecting the right green coffees and meticulously determining the appropriate roasting level based on the bean characteristics. We refine the coffee beans through the different roasting levels, highlighting the unique aromas and flavor nuances of each coffee.

When will my gift be delivered?

When you purchase the coffee gift subscription, you can choose the time when you want the recipient to receive a personalized email notification of the gift. Please note that delivery of the message is subject to the Eastern Standard Time (EST). Therefore, your message will not be delivered until shortly after midnight (EST).

How do I redeem my gift?

After receiving the email with your congratulations, the recipient simply clicks on the link in the email. Using this link, they can start their coffee subscription at any time and customize it to their own preferences. They can freely choose the coffee types, quantities, and delivery intervals.

Can recipients change their subscription?

The Süssmund coffee subscription promises maximum flexibility and individuality. The recipient can choose freely from a wide range of coffee varieties, change them with each delivery, and adjust delivery dates to suit their own needs. Deliveries can also be paused—or skipped—with a single click.

What happens if the credit for the coffee subscription has been used up?

Once the entire balance has been used up, the coffee subscription can still be continued. To do so, the new payment method must be added during checkout. From then on, the new payment method will be used for all future payments, and the coffee subscription will continue.

If the recipient has already stored a payment method in their customer account due to previous orders from Süssmund Kaffee (e.g. existing coffee subscription customers), the coffee subscription can simply be continued using the stored payment method.

What happens to any remaining balance?

Any unused credit can be used for any products in our online shop in the customer account where the coffee subscription is managed. To redeem the remaining credit, the customer must add a payment method during checkout. Products can then be purchased in the customer account using the remaining credit and the new payment method.
