In our commitment to sourcing coffee directly from the producers, we set off for San Cristobal de las Casas (Chiapas) in January 2024. There, we visited Union Majomut, a cooperative founded and run by indigenous smallholder farmers in southern Mexico. We've summarized the wonderful impressions of this trip for you in this blog post.

With regard to ecological and social sustainability, the value chain is a suitable subject for investigation. As a coffee roaster, this begins in the country of cultivation on the farms of our producers and ends with delivery to the customer.

Hector Velasquez cultivates excellent Arabica varieties on his Los Robles farm, directly on the fertile soils at the crater of the San Salvador volcano. During my last Origin trip, shortly before the outbreak of the pandemic, I was able to visit his life's work and was impressed.
